CONTRACT PARTNERS IN LEARNING

We know that students learn best in the H.S.A. After-School Tutoring Program when everyone works together to encourage learning.  This agreement is a promise to work together as a team to help

Together, we can improve study habits, test scores, and performance in school.

As a STUDENT, I pledge to:

• Work as hard as I can on my assignments and share with my parents what I am learning.
• Respect family members, my school staff members, and myself.
• Regularly use my public school library for educational purposes and observe all usage policies.
• Limit my TV watching, Internet surfing, and electronic game playing.
• Make time for reading, math, and other homework assignments.

As a PARENT, I pledge to:

• Encourage good study habits, enforce quiet study time at home, and provide access to technology resources, when feasible.
• Talk with my child every day about his or her school activities and use all resources to communicate regularly with my child’s teacher(s).
• Reinforce respect for self and others.
• Be aware of my child’s progress in school by attending school events and reviewing school work.
• Volunteer my knowledge and expertise to enhance my child’s school.
• Monitor my child’s use of television for entertainment and educational purpose.
